President Gary Larson, an expert in strategic positioning and crisis management, specializes in helping quality education reform organizations across the nation tell their story to the broader public.
Vice President Naush Boghossian brings a deep understanding of the workings of the newsroom and a knack for how to frame an issue to get organizations the right type of exposure. Naush brings 15 years of experience in journalism, public relations and strategic communications planning to her work. She also specializes in media relations, crisis management and messaging with a deep focus on education reform.
Account Director Heather Vega knows how to construct a unique story and make it appeal to the right audience. A former journalist, she knows what appeals to reporters, how to find the human side of any organization’s offering, and is an expert at sorting through data to find interesting tidbits that can be parlayed into larger stories. Heather joined Larson Communications after eight years as an education reporter at the San Mateo Daily Journal with freelance work appearing in the San Francisco Chronicle and Parenting on the Peninsula.
From sparking community engagement on education reform after reporting on the struggles of a low-performing urban high school, to building a successful proactive communications team at a high-profile state education agency, Account Director Kelli Gauthier knows how to get results.
Senior Account executive
Senior Account Executive Ali Littman brings her background as a journalist and in crisis management and public affairs to her work with Larson Communications. She has successfully helped organizations gain widespread support in challenging situations. Through her work in New Mexico, Washington D.C. and San Francisco, she has developed and implemented robust communications programs aimed at changing long-held beliefs and policies for the better.
Recently joining Larson Communications as an Account Executive, Molly brings to the team a passion for education issues, experience crafting strategic communication plans, and an in-depth knowledge of California’s – particularly the Los Angeles region’s – political landscape.
Communications Manager Marisa Serrano is an avid writer and editor with hands-on experience in education. Prior to joining Larson Communications, Marisa worked in the administrative offices of the Wellesley Public School system, and gained a deep understanding of the ways in which district resources and administrative decisions affect students' lives.
Senior Advisor Erica Lepping has 19 years of experience providing strategic political communications support and media expertise to national foundations, federal government agencies, school districts, state departments of education, charter management organizations, advocacy organizations, researchers and nonprofits.
