Alliance College-Ready Public Schools was already recognized as a leading charter organization in the Los Angeles area. Despite exemplary student performance and well-respected leadership, the Alliance needed to create a more visible public presence.
Utilize the upcoming grand opening of its latest school on a university campus as an opportunity to highlight the broader successes of the organization.
The Larson Communications team:
- Crafted an announcement underscoring the Alliance’s mission to provide quality education for a traditionally underserved neighborhood.
- Uniquely positioned the Alliance as the first charter school in the entire county to be located on a Los Angeles university campus.
- Worked with the Alliance team to draw high-profile elected officials to the event, including Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa, University President Jim Rosser and State Superintendent of Public Instruction Jack O’Connell.
The public event was a success. After being featured in nearly every media outlet in the nation’s second largest media market, including the Los Angeles Times, La Opinion, KABC and KTTV Fox 11, Alliance College-Ready Public Schools has enjoyed citywide recognition, including being highlighted in the Mayor’s State of the City address.
